Softball Teddy Bears
Children have loved teddy bears since the first one was manufactured. These slightly goofy but very cuddly toys have never gone out of style. They have survived while other toys are put away forever never to be seen again until parents have a yard sale when they are clearing out the attic. No one would ever think of relegating Teddy to the attic. He is always a treasured friend to his childhood buddy. Even boys as they age have a soft spot for their favorite teddy bear. They may not show the love for fear of seeming unmanly, but it is there just the same.
The first teddy bears rarely wore clothes. They were made to look like real bears and were not sold complete with little outfits. Most teddy bears today still do not come with clothes with a few exceptions. Sometimes teddy bears are manufactured for a specific purpose. Who hasn’t seen the little cheerleader teddy with her school mascot and colors proudly displayed on her outfit? They make the cutest presents for any little girl or cheerleader.
Another teddy bear that comes already dressed is the softball teddy bear. If you do a search on the Internet, you should be able to find several sites who sell these adorable teddy bears. Softball teddy bears can be personalized so that they will look exactly like the softball team.
Softball teddy bears wear a team’s uniform and act as official or more often unofficial team mascots. Some teams have just one generalized teddy wearing the uniform without name or number while others have a teddy representing each player. Teddy bears are often mass-produced and sold as souvenirs along with other items as part of the club merchandising. For minor teams without merchandising and for college teams etc individual softball teddy bears may be given as presents to the players at the end of the season.
Softball teddy bears are precious mementos of playing on a softball team. The girls and sometimes even the boys will keep them with their trophies and other school souvenirs. If you can’t find just the softball outfit you want, you can buy a infant or toddler outfit and have it made to your specifications. Another extra but very thoughtful gift would be to make the child the same t shirt pattern. Then they can be twins until the child outgrows the t shirt. As the child becomes an adult, the softball teddy bear will serve as a constant reminder of the fun of being a part of a team and playing softball. He or she will also remember the sweet memory of such a loving gift.
